Teds Blackstone Spaghetti
Serves 6 people
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 lb spaghetti noodles
1 Vidalia onion, sliced
1 bell pepper, sliced
8 oz sliced portabella mushrooms
8 oz Italian sausage, sliced
1 (24 oz) jar Classico Traditional Sweet Basil Pasta Sauce
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Olive oil
Butter
Garlic powder, to taste
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Worcestershire sauce, to taste
Directions
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti noodles until tender. Drain and set aside.
Heat your Blackstone griddle and lightly coat it with olive oil.
Place the ground beef on one side of the griddle. Season with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
In another section of the griddle, cook the sliced Italian sausage. Add a splash of Worcestershire sauce while cooking for extra flavor.
Melt a little butter on another area of the griddle and sauté the Vidalia onion, bell pepper, and mushrooms all separately until softened and lightly browned.
Transfer the cooked beef, sausage, and vegetables into a large pot.
Pour in the pasta sauce and stir everything together. Add 1/2 teaspoon baking soda and mix well. Let the sauce simmer on low heat for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add the cooked spaghetti noodles to the sauce and toss until fully coated.
Serve hot with garlic bread or shredded Parmesan cheese if desired.
Ted’s Tip
Cooking everything separately on the Blackstone lets each ingredient build its own flavor before it all comes together in the sauce. The Worcestershire on the sausage and the buttery vegetables really make this spaghetti stand out.
